Mortimer Zone
Red Pine purchased the Charlie Mortimer Project property in fall of 2009. High-grade gold concentrations across substantial widths resulted from sampling of the C1 TrenchChannel returning 23.74 g/t gold over 12 metres including 54.98 g/t gold over 5 metres in an area where flat-lying and sub-vertical quartz-carbonate stock works exist (see press release dated March 16, 2010). Field examination of cleaned outcrops has also established that the Property contains a number of newly discovered discrete plus-meter scaled mesothermal gold-bearing veins (often containing visible gold) over a known distance of at least 3 kilometres surrounding the Kenty Mine within a sequence of pillow basalts - a classic iron-rich host for sizable gold deposits in the Abitibi and other significant Archean greenstone gold camps.
Michelle Zone (Dome's West Zone and West Zone Extension)
The Michelle Zone straddles a parallel shear structure also associated with the Orofino Mine (746,946 tonnes of 5.34 grams per tonne gold; 128,151 ounces). It includes Greenshield Resources "L23" area, discovered during a regional reconnaissance grab sampling program located approximately 500 metres west of Dome's initial zone of interest. The grab samples from this area had anomalous gold values up to 34.29 g/t Au. Greenshields follow-up drilling of the area in 2004 reported 2.35 g/t Au over 13.35 metres in hole G-04-26 which included 3.02 g/t Au over 9.75 metres*. The highlights of the Company's 2010 exploration program include drill results on the Michelle Zone of 4.05 g/t over 35 metres (RPX10-02), 2.65 g/t over 40 m (RPX10-08), 2.31 g/t over 6 m, 3.26 g/t over 4 m, 2.84 g/t over 4.4 metres, and 1.12 g/t over 12 metres from mineralized porphyry dykes (see press release dated October 21, 2010).
To date, the company has traced gold mineralization on surface and by diamond drilling over a strike length greater than 200m in an east - west direction, and to a depth of more than 125 meters. The zone remains open in all directions and coincides with a geophysical IP anomaly extending for another 500 metres to the east and 150 metres to the west.
Gold values from hole RPX-10-18 (2.76 g/t over 2m) are from a deeper, mafic volcanic dominated environment similar to the mafic volcanic environments that host gold in the Timmins mining camp. More drilling will be required to define the orientation and extent of this gold enriched intersection (see press release dated February 8, 2011).
Silvia Zone (Michelle Zone Extension
The Silvia Zone is located approximately 600 metres south-east of the Michelle Zone. Exploration drilling here targeting east-west trending IP geophysical responses encountered anomalous gold values from hole RPX-10-14 (0.70 g/t over 6.00 m) and RPX-10-15 (1.98 g/t over 0.18 m). An Abitibi Geophysics crew is presently performing down-hole IP surveys on holes RPX-10-14 and RPX-10-15 to better understand the controls of these anomalous gold values (see press release dated February 8, 2011).
Krista Zone
The Krista Zone was also explored by Greenshield Resources and is located on a similar parallel shear structure to the Michelle Zone, approximately 2 kilometres north and has to date produced the most significant gold values in grab samples. Previous work by the Company, comprised of trenching, hydro washing, chip sampling and an IP survey, defined a laterally extensive vein shear system hosted within feldspar porphyry and mafic volcanic protoliths. The system extends for more than 1 km in an east/west orientation. Geological surface mapping has identified at least one other parallel structure of similar characteristics indicating that the shear structure likely consists of a number of stacked contacts. Diamond drilling on the Krista zone has focused on a 350 m portion of this long structural corridor and has encountered anomalous gold values from holes RPX-10-09 (1.58 g/t over 6.88 m), RPX-10-10 (1.27 g/t over 9.00 m and 1.52 g/t over 4.74 m) and RPX-10-11 (1.53 g/t over 1.00 m). Assay results also support the existence of a second mineralized horizon parallel to the Krista Zone, confirming a stacked, or an echelon shear vein system that will require additional follow-up to define (see press release dated February 8, 2011).
Maya Zone
The Maya Zone, situated south of the Michelle Zone, has been identified as a large quartz feldspar porphyry intrusive target on strike with the Rundle Mine. The airborne geophysical data supports this interpretation with a magnetic low area mearusing over 1 square km. The larger gold deposits within the Timmins Gold Camp are associated and proximal to similar felsic porphyries. Anomalous gold values from grab samples of 23.32 g/t, 15.09 g/t and 21.95g/t were reported by Placer Dome hosted within felsic volcanic boulders*. An interpretation of a 1980's IP survey is being completed. Prospecting and trenching are underway.
