Michelle Zone

2010 Drilling  on the Michelle Zone has extended the gold bearing structure for an additional 30 metres easterly, and down plunge from previously reported hole RPX-10-02 (4.05g/t over 35m). At this point, the company has traced gold mineralization on surface and by diamond drilling over a strike length greater than 200m in an east - west direction, and to a depth of more than 125 meters.    The zone remains open in all directions and coincides with a geophysical IP anomaly extending for another 500 metres to the east and 150 metres to the west.

Gold values from hole RPX-10-18 (2.76 g/t over 2m) are from a deeper, mafic volcanic dominated environment similar to the mafic volcanic environments that host gold in the Timmins mining camp. More drilling will be required to define the orientation and extent of this gold enriched intersection.

Michelle Zone Extension (Silvia Zone)

The Michelle Zone Extension is located approximately 600 metres south-east of the Michelle Zone.  Exploration drilling at the Michelle Zone Extension targeting east-west trending IP geophysical responses encountered anomalous gold values from hole RPX-10-14 (0.70 g/t over 6.00 m) and RPX-10-15 (1.98 g/t over 0.18 m). An Abitibi Geophysics crew is presently performing down-hole IP surveys on holes RPX-10-14 and RPX-10-15 to better understand the controls of these anomalous gold values.

Re-sampling of Historic Drill Holes

  • Analytical confirmation of historical assays over the Michelle Zone with highlight of:
    • 52.40 m of 2.35 g/t gold including 17.0m of 5.45 g/t and 3.00 m of 5.07 g/t
Historic drilling in the Michelle Zone by Greenshield Resources Ltd. ("Greenshield") identified gold mineralization (see Press Release dated January 16, 2003). To confirm the assay results obtained by Greenshield, Red Pine re-sampled 2002 diamond drill core in December, 2010. This program included the splitting and assaying of previously un-sampled diamond drill core. The assay results of this sampling program are presented in the table below, along with the historical Greenshield assays for comparison:

Three-dimensional modelling of the gold mineralization indicates this mineralized zone is open along strike, and the Company intends on targeting this during  future exploration programs.
